Document cargo condition, packing and readiness before loading so there is a clear baseline for the next transport stage.
The survey scope should be agreed in advance so the attendance focuses on the operational or claims question that needs to be answered. Where specialist engineering, class, statutory or laboratory input is required, that should be arranged separately from the field survey.
